Yes ladies, it's time to give new life to your old bras! Marie Boutique in Abingdon is a nominated recycling 'Bra Bank' location. Make a deposit at a Bra Bank and your unwanted underwear will
be whisked away to start a new life on the other side of the world, where traders support theirfamilies selling textiles locally. Successful ventures like this keep many families in developing countries out of poverty and plenty of people in the UK in a job.

Any bras that are genuinely beyond redemption will be dismantled and disposed of properly by BCR Textiles, who save 7.8 million tonnes of CO2 emissions every year by collecting, reusing and recycling many thousands of tons of textiles.

Against Breast Cancer is working in partnership with BCR Textiles to raise funds by asking stores like 'Marie' to have a recycling point in their shops. When it’s full, BCR will pick it up and make a donation to support the research work that will, one day, create a vaccine that removes the fear of breast cancer forever. BCR Textiles will donate £1,000 for every ton of bras they collect!

So come on ladies, empty your drawers of all those old or unwanted bras and head down to Marie Boutique in Abingdon where we love to see you make a donation to such a worthy cause!

Don't forget, if you're not local to the area then please just pop your bras in the post to us and send to Marie, 38 Bath Street, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14 3QH
